Today provides important predictability for Granite Staters who can now continue to afford health insurance through the federal exchange as a result of today’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling.

The decision impacts approximately 30,000 people in our state with moderate to lower incomes who would have lost eligibility for tax credits, and as a result, become uninsured without affordable options for coverage. This will strengthen New Hampshire’s insurance market to provide more options for our citizens to access much needed health care.

Increased coverage is an important factor to help ensure people are able to receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place. And
an increase in the number of people with insurance means less uncompensated care, which ultimately decreases costs for patients, providers and businesses.
